Benington is a small, picturesque village set in the Hertfordshire countryside and has been described as one of the most attractive villages in the county.

It is located in north-east Hertfordshire, to the east of Stevenage, and is 35 miles north of London.

The village has a strong farming history, and much of the surrounding countryside is still agricultural.

It has a population of just over 1000, two churches, a primary school, two public houses, and is home to Benington Lorsdhip with its well known gardens.

It also has a branch of Ernest Doe, one of the UK's foremost distributors of agricultural, construction and professional turf care machinery, who are sponsors of this website.
